About Pixie
Hello everyone. My name is Pixie and I’m approx 12 month old female Shar-Pei X.
This is the report card from my foster mum:-
Basically she’s the perfect dog! Manners are great and she’s definitely not food aggressive. Will share her bowl with our other dog. She’s a good guard dog and lets us know when someone is here.
Doesn’t really chew and loves playing ball and going for a walk. She is great alone or with another puppy to keep her entertained. She loves kids of all sizes but sometimes jumps up to lick and say hello, but we’re working on that... (after all Pixie is still a pup).
She was really timid when she first come into care - but that’s gone now and she’s full of new life after being shown some love and attention.
Pixie has listened well and learned commands of sit, stay, wait and go outside. She is house trained but sleeps outside at night with my other dog.
She is well behaved around our farm animals and doesn’t run out the gate if told to stay. She has chased our chickens but not harmed them so perhaps needs some supervision.
Pixie has great recall, picks things up quickly and has come such a long way in a short space of time. All she needs is a loving forever home.

Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue (FCAR) house all our dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial to see if the chosen dog is a fit with your family. A $50 deposit is paid at the commencement of the trial period and goes toward adoption fee should you adopt. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please message this page or call 0447 175511
The committee and carers of FCAR are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
