About Xena
I was surrendered to Lort Smith when I fractured my leg and my owners were not able to afford my medical costs or continue my strict physiotherapy and confinement regime for 8 weeks.
So, let me tell you what kind of a home would be best suited to my needs. A home with no very young children would be best, as I tend to be a little nippy at times and don’t know how hard I can bite, I would never forgive myself if I hurt anyone! Another stern, confident dog would be ideal so that I can be taught some manners.
I will require an active home, with carers that will take me on long daily walks and will provide me with daily enrichment and play time. You see, I am a typical pup and have an exuberant amount of energy I need to burn on a daily basis. Carers that will take me to puppy school, ongoing obedience training and have time for a pup like me would be the best fit. I am learning a few basic obedience positions with the help of the staff and volunteers here at Lort Smith, but I do have quite a way to go in order to be the best dog I can be!
I will be adopted out with an adoption disclaimer for the surgery I had completed to repair my fractured leg. If you believe I sound like the perfect fit for your family, please call the Adoption Hub to find out more about me.
Medical notes
Will be Adopted with an adoption disclaimer for leg fracture repair.
