About Darla
Darla is a very sweet, loving and cuddly girl who wants to see out her life in the comfort of your arms and on your couch.
She isn't interested in having a furry friend... in her mind, she is a people, not a dog.
She is untested with cats but if she is the same with cats as she is with dogs, then I can only assume she'd ignore it once she's figure out who and what it is.
She is ok with other dogs under supervision., but only ones that aren't going to jump all over her and get in her face. She needs calmer dogs around her. She's never had to share before so can get a bit snappy if a dog gets in her personal zone or gets too close to her food or a toy she currently has. It's not her fault. She's been used to breed puppies before now and so has not had to share anything ever before.
She doesn't play games much, like fetch or tug of rope. We don't think she's done much of that before, but she's showing a slight more interest in it now than she did when we first rescued her.
Due to her quiet nature and history, we believe she would best be suited to a home where someone is home all the time, or the majority of the time. She does get anxious and can squeal when left home alone.
Maybe a family with a stay at home parent. Or a retired couple who can dote on her.
She is great with kids, currently in care with a baby, a 5yr old and a teenager.
