About Lucky
Sweet boy Lucky!
Do you have a calm, desexed and friendly canine pal who would love an active companion? Experience with training and lots of time to offer a sweet and loyal new friend? We are searching for the right type of home for Lucky. He will no be suited to a beginner or someone who is looking for an 'easy' dog.
Gorgeous boy Lucky is a medium size, great fun dog to be around and is the perfect size for taking places. He loves his people and is great on lead. He is also dog and kid friendly.
Lucky is eager and quick to learn and likes to work for his meals through games and training. Overall, he is pretty easy-going.
He is crate trained, toilet trained and happily sleeps through the night.
Lucky likes to be with his people. If you're inside or out he wants to be by your side.
He is very sweet and fun and will make you laugh. We have noticed that Lucky suffers from separation anxiety when he is left so he is after a family that is around a lot or plan to take him with them.
For the times that he has to be left, a calm friendly dog will then come in handy to offer him companionship. He does not cope well being left alone and will NOT be suited as an only dog! For this reason also, secure fencing will be a must to keep him safe and prevent him from walking off to find a friend to hang out with and most importantly on going training. Lucky has been receiving training in his foster home to help him learn to accept being on his own and to help him understand that his people will always return. This is still ongoing and will need to be continued by his new people to help him gain a trusting bond with them. His foster mum is happy to offer advice on what he has learned while he has been in her care to help him adjust to his new surroundings. She just wants to see him happy and will help wherever possible.
Lucky was rescued from a very busy household and was given no direction whatsoever before coming into care a few months back. He is doing really well with self control but still needs the occasional reminder to be calm.
With structure and general reminders he can be settled and happy.
Routine, clear commands and continued structure with things like place, crate and lead time will all help contribute to lucky being happy and calm. He has a lot of energy so games, puzzles, training and regular exercise and outings will all be great ways for Lucky to receive regular mental stimulation and help him burn off stored up energy. He will need a good sized yard so he has room to move, he will not be suited to apartment life!
Lucky will thrive in the right home :)
Please contact us if you would like to know more about this extremely happy, gentle and friendly young man.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
