About King
Hello, my name is King. I came in to the RSPCA as a scared stray and have been spending my time in a lovely foster home. I am now back at the shelter and looking for a home to call my own! While with my foster carers I learnt that people can be kind and loving, especially when they give me face/cheek rubs and food. I love food and this will be a good tool to help me get to know my new owners. When I am comfortable, I would love nothing more than to lay on the couch with you and receiving the affection I ask for. Sometimes I only want to be next to you, no touching necessary, which is something i would like my new owners to understand. I liked following my foster carers around and meowing at them until they were where I wanted them to be (usually on the couch so I can snuggle up to their legs). I'm great at using a litter tray but like to have 2 trays available, and this is something my new home will need to provide me. In my travels as a stray, I have contracted FIV, and will subsequently need to have an indoor only home (access to a safe and secure cat run would be incredible! But only when I feel confident enough) and I will need to be an only cat. I have only been in a quiet house with two adults and no other pets. I would be best suited for a quiet house with just adults or older teenagers. I will be shy to start with and would love a tunnel or hidey hole to retreat to if needed until I get to know my new home and owners, the cattery staff recommend that I have access to a 'safe zone' in my new home that will allow me to de-stress and decompress from the busy shelter life!
