About Rudy & Sky Skarsgard
This pair are so bonded with each other they should not be separated. And they complement each other – Rudy is great with dogs but can be a little hesitant with people. Rudy does have some separation anxiety but is fine as long as Sky is with him.
Sky used to be great with both dogs and people but since she was attacked by another dog she is less so. We are sure the adopters can work with this with our assistance.
They have lost their loving home and we really don’t want them to lose each other.
Rudy is an intelligent but relatively quiet and a relaxed dog around the house. He is a little nervous on walks. He can be a bit stubborn, but is very food motivated. Sky has a sweet nature, is eager to please and becomes very attached to her people as well as to Rudy. She can be a little fussy around her food. Sky does not like dogs to visit nor is she keen on meeting other dogs on their walks. It is such a shame as she was so good before she was attacked.
Rudy is fine when he encounters dogs on his own but when Sky gets stressed so does he.
The two dogs are great together. They respect each other’s food and toys. Rudy will finish his meals first, and always waits patiently for Sky to finish before finishing her leftovers.
They are both very obedient around the home but not so when they are out as they can be somewhat stressed and not listen.
There is not much to fault with Rudy except he cannot bear to be away from Sky. Sky does need more work but at 14 kgs she is much more manageable.
Bigger sized pairs are difficult to rehome but we believe they deserve to stay together.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
