About Louis DL2225
We have taken the time to get to know Louis, so please ensure you read his profile thoroughly before submitting your application.
Louis is a great little dog, super affectionate, and very smart; he learns structure and boundaries very fast.
However, Louis can be nervous and wary of new people, particularly men. He is just scared, and keeping him safe and secure and helping him build his confidence around people is the key. He is having lots of exposure to the girls at his daycare and is becoming more and more confident every day.
Louis is great with all dogs. He is super playful and will play all day at daycare and all night at home. He is a high energy dog and must have a doggy pal at home. Similar age and size, with equal energy, to help him with his nervous energy.
You must be able to take the lead and set firm boundaries for Louis; especially when it comes to exposure to new people and having visitors to your home. Louis soon falls in love with the ladies in his family, and it'll help to have a sensitive dad in the home who will give him space to build his confidence with men.
Louis isn't suited to children; any family members or regular visitors must be 12yrs+. He would suit young retirees who are fit and healthy to give him loads of exercise as he needs and wants it.
Louis is great in the car and has no trouble sleeping through the night indoors. He truly is a little love bug and your patience and effort in working with Louis will be rewarded with a lot of love!
If you would love to help Louis thrive in his forever home, please contact DFL by email to apply.
