About Indi ~ Kelpie X Golden Retriever (on trial 28/9/19
Let me introduce you to this very handsome fellow - this is Indi who will be 7 in December and is a Kelpie x Golden Retriever.
Indi would love a new home where someone has time for him. He is craving some love and attention. He loves to be walked, patted and to have someone to play with, so if you have a family of kids who want a furry play mate this could be the boy for you.
Indi could benefit from some training as he gets excited and goes a bit “crazy” when someone new comes over or people get home from work. He does know how to sit, stay, shake and lie down. Indi does jump up in excitement so will need some direction in this area. We feel he is best suited to children above10 years old. Treats work really well with Indi! Once he gets to know you he has good recall.
Indi hasn’t been socialised real well with other dogs but has never had an issue with another dog. He tends to get a bit nervous and overwhelmed around them and is unsure how to play. He has been exposed to pocket pets and enjoys their company. He had a great mate in a guinea pig!
Indi loves a walk but is very strong on lead so a good walking harness is a must. He can be distracted if sees another dog.
Indi loves to play fetch and tug of war and has a favourite tyre toy. He does sleep inside and enjoys family time.
If you are sitting on the ground, he will try to sit on your lap no matter what. He is incredibly loyal and no matter what is always excited to see you. He has the most adorable “sad puppy eyes” when he’s trying to get your attention or something that he has seemed to have mastered to get extra treats.
