About Sophie
Sophie is a super cuddly little girl who loves to crawl into your lap if she trusts you. She is nervous of some men and barks at them. She walks nicely on loose lead, ignoring cars and other dogs but lunges at utes and trucks. She likes to jog and really enjoys a cuddle and belly rubs. She sits on command. Sophie gets easily spooked by loud noises or sudden movements and can nip. She needs a very experienced family used to such responses.
Volunteers say "Very sweet girl, very energetic" “Lovely dog, walked beautifully on loose lead. Affectionate and easy to control. Seemed very aware and smart”, Loved cuddles and treats and licking your face! "Sophie is getting better and better every walk, great girl", She has a smooth coat and weighs 13.8kg.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
