Patch is a beautiful dog, both inside and out. Patch is an 18 month old purebred medium haired Border Collie.
Like some of our dogs, Patch has a sad story to tell. He was found tied to a pole, cold and alone on a isolated remote road. We aren't sure how long he has been there for but the poor boy was starving! The finder did some door knocking and soon discovered from a neighbour that Patch's family had packed up and moved away, apparently they had tried to give him away on Gumtree but no one would take him?!
Patch needs a very active owner, he needs lots of mental and physical stimulation and will need another working dog to play with in his new home. Patch would not be suitable for a small/medium suburban home, he would need acreage or a very large yard and must have another dog in his home.
Medical notes
Patch has had the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ C5 Vaccination
~ Microchipped
~ Heartworm Treated
~ All-Wormed
~ Flea Treated
Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
