About Goose
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Goose and his brother Maverick have just come into care from a local pound. It is unclear what their breeding is, but if I was to hazard a guess perhaps Golden Retriever? Kelpie? But to be honest that is purely a guess.
They are young, friendly, snuggly and full of beans. They have their whole life in front of them. Perhaps Goose could spend it with you?
The boys will only be rehomed separately as following extensive research and discussions with our Vets and behaviouralists it is not recommended to rehome siblings together - for further information research Littermate Syndrome.
My Ideal Home:
Goose and Maverick have proven they're clever boys and their new owners will need to commit to regular positive training to ensure they grow up to be well mannered, friendly dogs.
Their adoption fee covers their flea and worming treatments, desexing and 2 vaccinations. Basically they're ready to move in!
What is Known About My Background:
The boys have made a pact and won't divulge what they were up to before coming into care, but it's safe to say they probably got up to some mischief, as puppies do :)
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Goose and Maverick are currently in care with 2 other 5mth old pups and a resident Staffy. The Staffy likes to keep everyone in line and the boys have shown they know he's the top dog.
They have seen the resident cats and foster kittens through the door and will be tested with them shortly.
The boys are super excited to have interactions with people, especially children, however in their excitement they do tend to jump up. With regular continued positive training this behaviour should subside. This means they may not currently be suitable for small children who they could knock over by accident.
