About Fred
Fred would like to share this epic rap with you all. He wrote it in hopes that his future fam is not too far away. Cue the music:
"Name's Fred, people gush over my looks wherever I tread –
get a look at my sick threads. Mustard yellow gives me all the street cred.
Hold the lead steady, this boy is adventure-ready,
dis cutie has a brindle booty, he's all beauty.
I make toy confetti, stuffing spaghetti. I enjoy
the daily squeak, a toy for every day of the week.
Walk! I got dem radar ears, teef-chatter when you're nears
'n my long boi prance, gotta drop poops on dem plants!
Lemme tell you, at home I'm a couch noodle,
spending oodles of time upside down,
tongue derp, pet life is my playground.
So my question is, do you got room in your heart
for this sweetheart, if you got room, I'm ready to zoom.
Have your people contact my people. Peace out."
Hellooo, my name is Fred and I'm ready to wiggle into your home and your heart! When we sit on the couch, you'll feel my snoot nudge you to remind you that I love you and that pats are required, please! I'll make you laugh, especially when I stretch and fall off the couch, then fall asleep in a ridiculously awkward position on the floor.
Afternoon crazies and squeaky toys are my thing. I'll throw them up in the air and chase them. I would enjoy having a secure yard to run around in and play with a similarly natured greyhound girl.
Prepare the snacks, ready the couch, snuggles are imminent.
Summary:
- If another canine, prefers female greyhound
- Prefers someone home more often than not
- No resident small dogs, or cats please
- If kids 8+ yrs

Adoption details
Step 1 - Message us here or email us at admin@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at.
For more info: please call us on 0447 830 788 If we cannot take your call immediately, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.
Step 2 - You'll receive a reply to your email with an application form. We'll require this form to be returned before proceeding. If you are having technological difficulties, please let us know.
Step 3 - We will contact you regarding a meet and greet (pending the suitability of your application). There may be situations where the hound that you are applying for, is not suitable to your home situation, but we might have another hound available that better suits your situation.
We do not advertise our foster dogs immediately, as we give them time to settle into home life first, so we can better assess their temperament. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family, that has not been advertised yet.
Step 4 - The meet and greet will be organised so that any other pets in your family are also present. This would preferably be done in your home, as a home check can be done to ensure that adequate fencing, shelter, etc will be provided to the hound.
The adoption fee of $320 needs to be paid before the hound is adopted.
Step 5 - You take your new family member home on a 2 week trial. Ongoing support for this trial period and beyond is available.
If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all dogs will have some period of adjustment.
If, after the 2 week trial, you feel that you need to return the dog, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
- Collar, lead & coat
- Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
- A 2.5 kg bag of Lifewise dog food
- Flea & worm treated
- Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
- Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
