About Tessa
Tessa is girl who is a little aloof, as sharpeis can be and needs to feel comfortable with you. She needs a person with good dog handling skills to build a relationship slowly over many visits. She does not like strangers and is looking for that quiet home preferably with a single person.
Tessa is not that interested in other dogs and happy to be the only dog and happy to be left for FT working hours but likes to be near humans at night time. Out walking she walks on loose lead, ignores cars and other dogs. She only enjoys a pat when she trusts you. She sits on command. She enjoys swimming and splashing in creeks and rolling in wet grass.
She has a calm demeanour but can get snappy if afraid. She has a short coat and weighs 16.9kg.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
