About Fig and her Mumma
Fig arrived into foster care with her mum when she and her brother Twiggy were around 5 weeks old. Fig and her brother, as well as their mum, were born on the streets and before arriving at their foster home, they had no interaction with humans. Understandably, Fig has taken it slow with her foster family but she has recently found comfort in the gentle hand of a human, and now follows her family around for attention and rubs. Fig likes to explore the house and get into all the fun things, but mostly she enjoys lounging in a quiet area. She is not overly playful but this could all change in good time! Fig lives with a large gentle dog, 5 cats and a toddler and is growing more confident and sweet every day.
Fig is to be adopted with her Mumma (Chrysilis) as they have a very special bond.
Chrysalis has been affectionately known as Mumma since arriving in care. Mumma was a stray, and at around 8 months of age had 2 kittens to raise and protect. Having no human contact until coming into care, Mumma was extremely timid but has never shown aggression towards anyone. She lives with 4 other cats, 1 large calm dog and a 1 year old human. Mumma has been in care for around 4 months and spends almost all of her time in her 'safe room', not hiding, just comfortable in there. When the house is quiet, she likes to make her way to a nice sunny window and have a roll in the warmth. Otherwise dear little Mumma still has a long way to go before she can completely embrace the standard cat life, things like human affection and attention, food, exploring and playing. We do catch her playing with toys when she's alone. She does love a very gentle head rub and chin scratch, so we are sure in good time she will blossom into the affectionate girl we know she can be. Mumma is best suited to a quiet home with someone who can spend a good amount of time with her. She doesn't mind other cats or dogs, as long as they don't pay her a lot of attention (and dogs don't approach her quickly or playfully). Mumma has a big place in our hearts, she deserves all the happiness life can possibly bring her
