About Emma
Beautiful Emma is an affectionate girl who would love to be your shadow.
Emma is a 3 year old tricolour/merle Blue heeler x Staffy.
She loves to be around humans, loves pats, fetching ball and is energetic. She’s house trained. She goes out to the backyard to toilet and she knows basic words like sit, wait, come, out, inside, on your bed etc.
Emma hasn’t seemed to learnt or been properly taught how to meet new dogs and can be overbearing and potentially intimidating to new dogs.
She learned to love her previous foster carer's family dog. She also started to understand the signs when her foster family’s dog didn’t want to play so Emma would walk away.
When she sees dogs outside when she’s walking, she gets very nervous and pulls hard on the leash and barks. She just needs to be lead away from the dog. She will sometimes try to bite if other dogs get in her face, so she has to wear a muzzle at all times when she is out in public.
Suitable home for her would be a family with older children(teenager), an active couple or single person who is willing to train her(walking training, social training). She should go to an only dog home but is capable of being slowly introduced to another dog as long as the new owner/s is capable of handling the responsibility.
We don’t believe she is aggressive dog but her behaviour may be interpreted as such but it’s more than likely it’s just nervousness and over excitement. She is currently undergoing training to help her learn to be more confident around strange dogs, and we would expect her new family to continue training her.
Medical notes
Emma is a healthy dog.
