About Mencia
Meet Miss Mencia
Mencia is a super sweet and cute 16 month old little girl.Initially she’s a bit of a shy girl who, with lots of love and affection will come out of her shell and be very playful.
Happy to be in the company of other animals, she’s in foster care with two other male dogs and a female cat and gets along with them all. She just loves to play and wrestle with one of her foster brothers (a 12 month old whippet).
Toys are also a favourite and she loves playing with a kong. Exploring around the back yard is something to be enjoyed and keeps her busy with all the smells and sounds.
Mencia really does enjoy being with her humans and she gets so excited to see you in the morning (or maybe that's just excitement for breakfast ?!) She's happy to sit with you and also enjoys a good pat and cuddle.
She's doing really well at training and manners and walks beautifully on the lead (although can be a little bit timid when out walking). She travels well in the car and is happy to go on any adventures with you. She also knows how to use the cat/dog door and is toilet trained.
We are looking for a home where Mencia will be part of the family and included in the daily activities. She would best suit a home with another friendly and gentle dog and/or cat who will interact and play with her. Alternatively, a home where someone is home more often than not would also suit. She should be allowed inside to be with the family.
A home with older children who are not too loud would be preferred as she is not used to being around younger ones and prefers a quieter lifestyle. You need to be committed to her ongoing health, happiness, exercise and doggy socialisation. Mencia will be the perfect addition to any family.
If interested further in this lovely girl, please complete the adoption enquiry form via our Fetching Dogs website as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
