About Trooper ~ Bull Arab x (on trial 13/1/2019)
Hi Everyone! My name is Trooper and I am a 5 month old little boy. I have some Bull Arab in me and not sure what else, but whatever it is I know I am going to be a tall, lanky boy when I'm fully grown. I have the best temperament and my foster mummy says I am the most special, loving and gentle little soul. I wouldn't hurt a fly ... but I may play with it!
Talking about play I just love to wrestle around with my older foster sister. She's a 40kg solid dog, and I’m only half her size but I am growing fast and soon I'll be able to win a game of wrestle. I love to be chased and hide behind trees so I can dart out and startle her. I wish I could play all day long but I get so tired and need to have a nap after a while as I am still just a puppy.
I’m told I have a very sensitive tummy, and so keeping good quality food in a great routine will really help me grow big and strong. I love my chicken for breakfast and my steak for dinner! I'm getting used to toilet training, as long as I can get to some grass I will do my business outside. I am an inside dog so please keep this in mind if your wanting to adopt me. I love my humans and will bond to my new family very strongly. I need to be close to them, inside on the couch having cuddles and sleeping next to their bed at night is SO great. I don’t want to be left outside at night as I won’t feel safe.
During the day, my humans go to work and leave me and my fur sister for about 6 hours every day. When they are gone, I spend some time inside having naps on my bed or on the couch and then I’ll spend some time lying in the sun outside or sniffing around the yard. I don’t get scared or cry when they are gone, as I have my doggy sister to help make me feel safe and happy. If I was alone I would get a little upset, but mostly I’d get bored and a bored puppy can sometimes get up to mischief! So, if possible, a puppy playmate would be awesome for me. It’s not a requirement, but I really do love having a canine companion to wrestle with and cuddle at night.
Kids are okay, I have spent limited time around them and find them pretty scary when they run around and scream like they do, but in time I can get used to this. I am super gentle, but I will be big, so maybe older kids will be a better option so they are big enough to play with me and walk me.
I LOVE my walks. Exercise stops me being bored so please bring me on adventures with you and lots of puppy play dates with other dogs so I can run around and learn to be dog social.
Socialisation is super important and due to my rough start to life I haven’t been around many other dogs. So please introduce me to lots of pups so I can learn to trust and have doggy manners. This is especially important as I am going to be a big pup.
Finally, my training will be important. Please take me to adolescent training and keep teaching me new things as I grow up as I want to always be learning something new. I can sit and lay down at the moment, but would love to learn so much more!
Thanks for listening humans! You can come and meet me if you speak to my foster mummy, Cass on 0419469578. She adores me so she wants me to go to the most loving, committed home, which could be yours! Meet you soon furever family! – Love Trooper
