About Buddy
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY ***
Buddy was born approx August 2016 and came into the pound as a stray. All the staff were so captured by his beautiful nature that when his stray time was up and no one had claimed him, he was put into their rehoming program, which brought him to us. Buddy loves everyone, including all other cats and that might be why he is now FIV positive. He obviously smooched up to an FIV tom who didn't appreciate his affection. FIV doesn't have to be a death sentence, but it does mean that to ensure a long, happy life he needs to be kept indoors only where he can't be coming into contact with cats that might be carrying other diseases, as his weakened immune system makes him vulnerable. He'll need to be kept on a very healthy raw diet to protect his immune system as much as possible but generally shouldn't need medication and can live a long life. He doesn't necessarily need a cat free home either, just to live with cats who don't fight and so not infect them. He's not a fighter He shares his food with other friendly cats and just turns his back and walks away from any challenge. If anything, he is TOO friendly and trusting. He loves attention and will make a lovely companion. All his vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.
Meet and greet in Millaa Millaa.
