About Ally
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Typical of the breed I am loyal and devoted to my primary owner, and require some time together before I warm up to you. I am not really a pack animal and am not interested in other dogs. When they bark at me on my walk I tend to scoot off past them. I can react to other dogs when feeling threatened so will need an owner experienced with the breed to continue to address my insecurities. You will be rewarded with intense loyalty and devotion.
My Ideal Home:
I have jumped a 2m fence and so would need something dog-proof with a big backyard.
I am best suited to one person and while I will bond with my regular family, I cant help but favour one human. I would like to go on runs with you and spend some time supervised off leash but you will need to wait until you teach me to come back when I’m called as I tend to get distracted with birds and kangaroos and cattle etc and wont come back to you until Im all tuckered out. I like to have a mix of outdoor time and indoor access and have been sleeping on a dog bed in the laundry where I stay all night until you get up and take me out for a comfort break.
What is Known About My Background:
I was surrendered to a Pound in the upper Hunter after having many litters of puppies. My last litter was surrendered to the Pound too and then a few weeks later I was taken there, I’m not sure why.
When Ally came into foster care she was soon in season again. She has since been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and had a behavioural assessment to determine her suitability as a family pet.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I am best suited as an only pet. I am wary of strangers and can scale a 6 ft fence so will need to be very much included in your life and kept secure.
