About Willow (& Shyloh)
Check out the movies attached of them playing
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Doesn't come much easier - good with cats, dogs, kids, good on the lead, come when called, toilet trained, not nuisance barkers and ok for full time workers. Happy and chilled out low maintenance dogs.
Both are affectionate and love attention but are also happy alone as long as they have each other.
They both fear thunderstorms and also need regular grooming.
Willow and Shyloh are placid dogs with a friendly, calm and warm temperament. Currently walking 30 - 40 mins a day and are fine with stairs.
They need to be together as they become anxious when separated.
Ideal Owner
The dogs would compliment most families with time and love to spare.
As long as they are given some attention at some point in the day they are happy.
Willow and Shyloh are ok for full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as they are a central focus when people are home and have each other.
As they are people orientated they need to be part of family activities.
They will not suit homes with residents that are very young, frail, elderly, renters or time poor.
Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting and secure. They may take advantage of an open gate and wander off but will not usually try and escape
Ok with shoulder height fencing.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
They will alert to something strange but are not currently nuisance barkers.
They will suit any of the following:
- someone home more often than not,
- stay at home parent,
- someone that works from home,
- part time workers,
- empty nesters,
- active retirees,
- full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as they are a central focus when folks are home.
They are fine without people during the day as long as they have each other.
Exercise Requirements
Medium - playful and moderately active.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs they start off pulling but settle quickly. Easy to control.
When OFF a lead ...
They stay close by and come when called.
Contractural Note
Cannot be separated after adoption in accordance with the Dog Adoption Terms and Conditions. Dog Adoption may ask for updates from time to time.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS (simple and easy)
1. Read the dog's detailed profile thoroughly - for you to self screen
2. The Expression of Interest (EOI) form MUST be completed prior to a meet and greet.
https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
3. Speak to the carer/owner directly for more detailed info to determine if there are any 'deal breakers' - designed to save time and avoid falsely raising hopes.
4. 'Meet & Greet' - you travel to where the dog is. If you have a current dog it must meet too. We strongly recommend all members of the family attend. Both parties may wish to report their thoughts to each other but MUST update Dog Adoption directly too.
5. The dog MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS have been made e.g. travelling more then 2 hrs round trip. In this case we need a minimum of 2 days notice. The adoption agreement and payment must be made before collection of the dog.
6. Normally, both parties have a think about the meeting, and if they wish to proceed, the adoption is completed after the adoption agreement, payment and screening is finalised.
7. A 2 week cooling off period commences once the dog arrives.
