About Rescue Hens
Ex barn laying hens, will lay for many years to come if kept happy and healthy. Their breed is Isa Browns.
Our personal ones that we rescued years ago, are about 5 years old now, another adopter saying she had one live to 8 years old, so definitely have a fair amount of life in them yet, even though they had a rough start to life.
These girls come from a very overcrowded factory barn situation and to watch them enjoy the grass and the sun is truly priceless. Each has their own unique personality and they are great to observe.
They are 18 months old and are growing their feathers back nicely. They have been wormed and deloused again. Due again in 2 weeks.
Their beaks have been slightly clipped and it does not bother their eating habits.
$7.50 each, to go in pairs at least.
Collection is from North Maclean.
Limited number of 80 available, so get in fast.
Adoption details
All animals come with a 7 day trial period (this is negotiable depending on case by case differences, and will be discussed accordingly with anyone having queries)
After this time, and knowing that both the family and pet are happy together, the adoption will be finalized.
If an animal is to be returned for whatever reason during this 7 day period, a 10% (of the adoption price) administration fee will be taken out of the refund. Animals returned after this time, unfortunately forfeit the adoption price.
We are mostly located in Jimboomba on the outskirts of logan, around 30-45 mins south of Brisbane, although some animals can be in care throughout the greater Brisbane region.
