About Jaffa
Jaffa is a very composed and gentle pup. He loves a game, and loves to explore like the others, but he is also very fond of his bed and likes a good rest every now and then. He gives lovely cuddles (no wriggling!), and is a very peaceful little chap. Jaffa, like the others will just be a fabulous family pet, and would love family life.
Jaffa came to us from an indigenous family with his 9 litter mates. Mum Pepper was hit by a car and injured when they were only a couple of weeks old. Pepper was not able to feed and care for them, so their indigenous family asked us to raise them up for them. They had been without mum for a couple of days when they came into care. All but Jaffa and his sisters Toffee, Lollypop and Mintie have now gone back to their family and are thriving and doing well. Mum has had surgery and recovered well too and gone back home. These four were more frail and stayed with us for re-homing. Jaffa struggled initially, but eventually started to thrive and he hasn't looked back. He is now a lovely healthy well adjusted little guy.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Jaffa's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Jaffa is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
