Indigo is an amazingly smart girl girl. She has big pupils and stares into your soul, which is a little off putting at first, but I think its because she is so switched on and understands people well. Indigo hasnt had the greatest start, she was in a rural pound and then in a family who weren't really into training or exercise or anything that could help her. So she is on a steep learning curve with her carer Coral. But, to her credit, she is loving it. Indigo is very responsive to food and cuddles and praise, all she wants to do is please you. She does pull on the lead but with regular walks and gentle instruction she is learning to be more gentle. She also is a little mouthy when playing, nothing major, just a puppy trait she didn't grow out of, and this is the ONLY reason we say no small kids. Indigo LOVES kids, all sizes, she is super excited when she sees kids and wants to jump and lick and play, so we think kids over 12 years old would be best. But with regular training, lots of gentle quiet time, Indie-Girl will learn to be the best companion anyone could hope for.
She would be great for someone who loves hiking or kayaking or someone who wants a friend to hang with, her loyalty is deep and her soft side is just lovely. She loves herding flies and can be quite chatty .
A MESSAGE FROM HER CARER
“We initially started fostering as a way for our dog Gary to have company while we were at work. We called it the doggy bachelor as he only liked girl dogs.
He was pretty aloof at first. Like who is this intruder taking food, attention and love away from me. Within a week he had accepted them or learnt to tolerate them and then they would leave. He would be happy for a day or so as he got everything back and then he would miss them. Then a new dog would arrive and it would start again. When he got cancer and he started to struggle I thought we might have to stop but he proved us wrong. He still had some lessons to teach to the younger dogs and they breathed some life back into him.“

The absolute best advice I can give you is to treat your application like you’re applying for a job.
Put everything on the application. Applications with one-word-answers will fall to the bottom of the pile.
Please include as much information as you’d like us to know IN YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION ( not your enquiry, please DONT send an enquiry) We can’t call every applicant so please don’t rely on telling us later, put it all in your application, tell us what you like about him, tell about your plans, tell us about how you will care for her ( excerise grooming diet) make it like a real application, make it so we can’t go past your story, thank you
