About Ziggy & Bowie
Ziggy the pig was advertised on Gumtree by his previous owners as they noticed he was lonely during the day while they were at work, so his current family decided to offer him a home as they knew someone would always be home to spend time with him. After a while they realised that Ziggy would benefit from the company of another pig. They saw Bowie also advertised on Gumtree and thought he would be the perfect companion for Ziggy.
When they went to collect Bowie, they found that his previous owners were keeping him in an old water tank. They had wanted to breed him but realised he was castrated, he was useless to them an they no longer wanted him. Lucky for Bowie he headed to a loving home with his new best friend. He went from being a sad scrawny pig, to a well fed happy pig!
Unfortunately the couple that have been caring for these boys have been faced with some health issues of their own, and therefore will no longer be in a position to care for them. They would love to find their boys a loving new home, where they can live out the rest of their years in peace.
Medical notes
Ziggy and Bowie will be vaccinated and wormed before handover to their new family.

* Animal Actionist & New Homes For Rescued Farm Animals promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use this animal for breeding.
All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals. If you have any problems or further queries, please contact Animal Actionist direct via the “contact us” link. Thank you so much for caring for animals.
