About Con
Con has personality and is very affectionate with a zest for life. He loves the car and all sorts of walks and outings. He would love a lap to lye on or his own human to cuddle up to but otherwise will settle by himself.
He is not high energy wanting company more than anything else. Nor is he a yappy dog but does sound the alarm.
He was found in a very remote part of the NT and handed to a local rescuer. He has taken to walking on the lead quickly, is quick to the door in the hope of a walk or trip in the car.
In this area, families are usually large so he might have had contact with children of various ages but since being in foster care has not had contact with children.
Con is in care with 3 large older dogs who he would like to dominate, with little success.
He was found in good condition with no evidence of neglect or abuse so is happy with dogs and people that he meets. Sometimes he is startled by new things so he needs help to get used to all the new sights and sounds, some of which he finds startling.
Con's shape suggests a Kelpie on short legs and a foxie personality who knows?? and we estimate he is about 18mths - 2yrs old. He is a sturdy boy but not fat weighing approx. 12kg.
Being so young it would not be in his best interests to be left alone every day for long hrs.
He was found after a memorial ceremony at the sight of the Coniston Massacre in the NT and handed into the care of a wonderful local rescuer.
Con flew from Alice Springs with 2 foster pals and is in foster care in Kingsford near the University of NSW.
