About Percy DL826
Percy is a handsome scruff who sadly returned when his owner passed away. He's very independent and set in his old man ways, but we know his perfect match is out there! Please keep reading to see if it's you...
As much as Percy loves to sleep, he does still enjoy his short walks in the park & will wait at the door until you take him out for a wander. He walks at a really nice pace on a loose lead and collar. His recall is good unless he's busy sniffing all the interesting smells; but birds and cats beware, he can still get up that speed to chase!
Percy is looking for a nice quiet home where he has his own space and can come to you on his terms. When he's ready, Percy likes nothing better than to sit on your lap or be near you. He's not comfortable being moved or lifted & can get snappy, but he loves having a ramp so he can join you when he wants to. Just call his name and give a little wiggle when it's time to hop off.
When he’s happy, he'll reach up to give you a kiss, and even wash your face. Lucky he doesn’t have bad breath or drool! He will love you to death once you have earned his trust and respect his space. He'd like nothing better than to be the only dog in your life, having all your attention to himself!
With introduction over time, Percy does get on with other dogs, even a Border Collie. He will still try to be top dog, he thinks he's the man! As for humans, he likes ladies, but men are his favourite. He particularly enjoyed meeting the gardener. He's best suited to a grown up home without kids.
Every morning is a new day with a smile, a wagging tail, a pat and breakfast! Percy is not short on character and will certainly bring some spunky Terrier attitude to your life. Email us today at DFLadoption@gmail.com to enquire about Percy.
Medical notes
A senior dog at 8-10yrs+. Eyesight decreasing, but no problems hearing!
