About Gizmo
Gizmo is a small pure bred Lhasa Apso puppy who was born in foster care with his sister and brother . They are now 14 weeks old and ready for a new family, his brother and sister have been adopted
Gizmo has been raised in a family environment in a warm home with quality food and regular worming and socialisation with children , other dogs and people . He loves cuddling and company and everyone he meets
He is a loving and confident puppy
His parents are both available to meet
The home for Gizmo will have another small friendly young dog to play with and sleep with .He will not be available to a family who all work full time. and as , he is so small fencing needs to be excellent. He can get through small gaps and pool fencing . Rural fencing wont work for Gizmo
Gizmo is available to a home where he can be returned for desexing some time before Christmas , the cost of the desexing is covered by the adoption fee
Lhasa Apsos are not big walkers. They have short legs and chunky bodies and a courtyard or small garden is all they need . A short stroll or playtime in the garden will keep them fit and happy.
They obviously are inside dogs, They are not suitable for very young children as they could easily be dropped and hurt but children older than 6 will be fine
. The adoption fees for all our dogs goes to our Not For Profit Rescue that saves old , sick and often unrehomeable dogs that stay in care their whole lives.
We did not breed Gizmo , but saved his parents already pregnant from a terrible environment and the parents are still in foster care.
Please do not apply for Gizmo if you do not meet the criteria . He will stay in foster care for however long it takes to find the perfect home
The puppies have had 2 vaccinations so far and are chipped. The adoption fee includes another vaccination and desexing at 6 months of age as to desex them younger than that is detrimental to their growth.
We are happy to keep these puppies until they are desexed if suitable homes are not found before then
They will then be lifetime registered
The desexing will be carried out by one of our vets based in the hunter region so an adoption too far from here is probably unrealistic but can be discussed. They are not available for interstate adoption
The puppies registration will not be transferred into the new family name until they are desexed

Adoption details
We require an initial application over the phone or in writing and then if a dog seems a match we can arrange a meet and greet at a local park or the foster carers home. If the meet is successful we then arrange a yard check and if that is satisfactory we require full payment on picking up the dog.
We then give a 2 week trial and if in that time it is not working we will refund all but $50 for admin costs. We also require that the adopter returns our dogs back to us at any time in its lifetime (without a refund) for us to rehome.
