About Clara
Clara is a special cat who has survived more in her short life than any kitten should have to. Despite this she is the most affectionate and good natured girl you could want! Clara was surrendered to a vet with breathing difficulty and what was initially thought to be some flea anaemia was soon recognised as something much more serious.
Clara had what is known as flat chested syndrome. This meant that her sternum was malformed and growing inwards and compressing her heart and lungs. This left Clara with great difficulty in breathing and she would be very tired after short amounts of exercise. Clara has now had surgery to repair this and wore an uncomfortable brace for several weeks - all the while keeping her good nature the whole time.
Clara is now all fixed and ready for a very special home. However it is important to consider that Clara MUST live indoors at all times. While she is better trauma to her could be very serious, she needs to be kept safe inside. Clara enjoys spending her time chasing kittens, toy mice and mysterious shadows on the wall. She cuddles on chests and with her foster siblings and can often be found snoozing at the top of the cat tower!
Clara has been living in a busy house with children and other cats and heaps of attention, she needs a home where she has lots of love and attention - another cat friend would be ideal or people who are home a lot of the time.
If you would like to know more about Clara please contact her foster mum Limarni on 0431771499. She is located in Bellmere.
