About Shelly
Shelly is one of the many lucky babies that were taken into rescue after being in a lab. Fortunately, the lab agreed to vet check and surrender their piggies to a rescue group rather than have them euthanized. Now Shelly has a chance for a new life.
As guinea pigs are highly social animals, we would ideally like Shelly to be rehomed with another female piggie buddy in rescue. However, if you already have a friendly female or placid desexed male piggie who is looking for a friend, then you can also be considered and we will be more than happy to help facilitate an introduction
UPDATE 16th January 2021
This is what rescue is all about and why the work I do here is so important. Shelly has come back into the rescue. Her buddy (Olive) died about 6 months ago. They were always brought into sleep at night, and this night things were normal but she was found passed the next morning. They have struggled with Shelly being alone and she has returned to the rescue.
What is really interesting is that only yesterday on the 15th we had another release of piggies from a laboratory environment and this is the first time that piggies that have been breeding for all that time, have been released. Interestingly they would be the same age as Shelly, so by pure coincidence could even be related like siblings.
So Shelly is here and we will find her a friend but if you feel that you are also looking for a single piggie please reach out.
Adoption details
If you would like to adopt an animal please take the time email me direct on admin@guineapigstuff.com
Please note that there is an adoption process and in order to ensure that the animals have a safe environment to go to there are some questions that need to be addressed.
We do not want impulse purchases and this adoption process is in order to ensure that piggies and bunnies in care will find safe and loving homes and families.
If you are such a family - I would love to hear from you. Thanks Lyn
