About Checkers DL1879
Looks can be deceiving! This little dude does what he wants and has a spunky attitude.
Checkers doesn’t mind being left during the day, but not too long or he’ll tell you about it. His house training is coming along well and he is learning how to use a doggy door, so you will need to be patient and persistent as he settles in.
He loves his twice daily walks for toilet breaks and to expel some of his energy. As for games, he doesn't know much about toys or playing yet, but he enjoys chasing around after you and is learning how to play with a tennis ball.
Checkers will learn with loads of praise and treats. He will suit being the one and only canine in the household and a calm, patient environment. He isn't good with other small dogs, bigger ones he is better behaved around, but needs further work on socialisation.
He's been doing well meeting new people of various ages. As he can be snappy at times, he does suit an experienced owner who will set boundaries and continue his training, so best suited to a place without kids at this stage.
He enjoys his pats and lying next to you on the couch. Who could resist those eyes? What a cutie!
