About York
** YORK **
Our darling young boy York is now officially available for adoption.
York is just over 2 years old and is a Bull Arab mix. We suspect there’s a bit of extra greyhound in him given his lovely long legs and slender body, but like most pound dogs, his true breed mix will remain a mystery... He’s already a very tall boy and still has some growing left to do.
During his time in care, York has learned all about what it’s like to be a loved member of a family. After spending quite some time as a starving stray, he had no idea that people can be good. He now knows that people mean all the best things in life – food, fun and love.
York is a super-friendly, very happy dog. He absolutely loves to play with other dogs. Dogs are York’s favourite thing in the entire world and his entire face lights up whenever he sees another dog. He is currently having an absolute ball in his foster home with the 2 resident pugs. He’s also great with dog-savvy cats and happily accepts being bossed around by the cats he’s currently living with.
While he’s having fun with his pug friends, York’s ideal home is one that has another big friendly dog a bit closer in size to him that will happily engage in lots of bouncy play. He loves having a decent sized yard to explore in and even though he’s got legs long enough to allow him to easily scale fences, he’s happy to stay on the right side of the fence.
York is still a goofy puppy in a very large dog’s body. He’s making great progress with his training, but because he is still young and is still learning all about life and what is expected of him, he requires a family committed to continuing his training.
Being a big and bouncy young dog, York is best suited to a home where any children in the family are aged 7 or older.
York is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/tick/worm treated and he’s also had a heartworm preventative injection.
York is currently located in Townsville QLD. Interstate adoption is available, with transport costs payable by the adopter.
*** A big thanks to Coffee and Hops for taking the time to photograph York and help show off just what a stunning boy he is! https://www.facebook.com/coffeeandhops/

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
