About Alaska DL1833
Alaska is very energetic and loves to play tug-o-war or fetch. She loves her daily walks to the park and also has good endurance if you need a running buddy as she is very lean and fit.
Alaska loves company and would be best suited to an active family where she can join in on all the activities like going to the beach, walking, camping, etc., as she is no couch potato. She loves to self-play with her wrestle toys, Kong, and enrichment ball/rope to curb any boredom, but loves it even more when she gets to play with you.
She is used to a stay-at-home environment and will happily wander inside and out at her leisure. She is fully house trained, does not jump up on furniture and will sleep soundly in her own bed inside all night, with her favourite toy, Ted. She travels well in a car and loves adventures. All she wants is to be loved, (and to play fetch) she will look up at you adoringly with her big beautiful brown eyes and her cheeky staffy grin… Life is good… and she loves it!
Alaska will greet you every day with a very waggly tail and a big staffy grin. She is always up for a smoochy cuddle and will lean right in to get as close to you as possible while you give her the obligatory belly rub or scruff under the chin. She is best with kids 10yrs+ as she can be excitable and want to jump up for a hug, but is progressing nicely with training to “get down” and “sit” to be petted. She has shown to be nurturing and gentle with her carer's 11 year old nephew.
If she is unsure of something, like a noise, she will put her serious Boxer face on with the cute pouty bottom lip, the uppsy downsy ears and the head tilts until she has worked it out. She will look at you for reassurance and a simple “its ok” will put her at ease. She is eager to please and progressing nicely with basic training. She is a little anxious with new visitors, especially men, until she has had an opportunity to warm to them but there are two males in her current foster family and she adores both of them.
Alaska walks beautifully with a chest harness, with minimal pulling and will sit and stop at the road crossings. The look she gives you whilst out walking will make your heart melt… she loves it! She is not reactive to other dogs, and has interacted well with other dogs at the dog park and beach. She will happily greet other people along the way, but is happy and eager to continue on her walk.
Alaska has the most expressive face and beautiful markings, and her tail never stops wagging. If you are looking for a new loyal best friend, who will love and adore you forever - she’s your girl! Contact us by email today to apply.
