About Missy
Missy is a beautiful girl with the most gorgeous green eyes. She came to Four Paws from the pound as an adult so we don't know her past. She is VERY shy and needs a lot of love and understanding. She can be quite skittish and jumpy. But she will allow you to pat her head at times. She's been with the same carer since the end of May 2017 along with her partner Magnus. It would be lovely if they were adopted as a couple. Since being in foster care Missy has been in a house with many other foster cats and she doesn't cause any trouble - she loves the younger cats and kittens (she came to Four Paws with her & Magnus' son). We've never had a chance to find out how she would go if she were the only cat or if it was just her and Magnus - she "may" come out of her shell. She will hang out in the same room as her foster carer and very occasionally has come up to sleep near her on the computer table. She requires someone very dedicated and special to take her into their care. She's happy to be inside and only very rarely has shown interest in going out. She loves to curl up in a small wicker basket. Missy does not like dogs and kids would probably frighten her too.
Update August 2018: After over a year in care Missy has now started coming to her carer and laying on her on the lounge chair. This is a BIG breakthrough for Missy. She is still shy and if her carer moves Missy will jump down but mostly will come back. Missy has also made good friends with her fellow foster Rosie. In some of the photos you will see them both cuddled together (Rosie is the dilute calico). Some nights they both sleep on top of their carer together. That's not unusual for Rosie - she's always been friendly and snuggly.
Update February 2019: Missy has continued to come out of her shell. She is still a shy lady but she is now much more trusting of humans and also playful. She has moved to another carer with her partner Magnus and is very happy. We feel that they should be adopted together if possible.

Four Paws Adoption & Education's adoption process requires their adoption forms filled out and email through to our Foster coordinators. They will then perform a meet and greet with yourself and your potential new friend along with a yard check (for dogs).
Once all has been processed and if approved the handover will happen and you will then have a new forever friend.
