About Jay
Jay is ready and raring to go. Whatever activity you are involved in - Jay wants to be right there with you and be part of it.
As a working breed dog - Jay has a high exercise and enrichment requirement.
He is ideally suited to someone who enjoys hiking, jogging or bike riding. Jay loves to get out and explore and would suit any dog sport.
Jay also loves tennis balls and may be open to meeting a friendly female doggy companion.
Jay has a history of being an escape artist. Because of this he will need either extremely high fencing (8ft), or a fully enclosed 'dog run'. Also plenty of exercise and enrichment, which will ensure that he stays at home happily rather than escaping due to boredom.
Working breed dogs are generally loyal to a fault. They also have boundless energy and often high working drive. A working breed dog has a high exercise and enrichment requirement. If they are not provided with plenty of exercise, games and enrichment they will become destructive as they will find things to entertain themselves with. Working breed dogs are best suited to active families, runners and bike riders. These dogs are not suited to apartment or townhouse living.
We recommend Jay for a family with children 8 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
The adoption fee for Jay is $395.00 which helps to cover the cost of his mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
