About Carly
My name is Carly and I've been in foster care since I was just 5 weeks old. My foster mum took my 4 litter mates and myself into care nearly 2 years ago, we were so scared of everyone and everything. I remember we would all hiss and spit when mum would feed and care for us but she never gave up on any of us and in time we learnt to trust humans again.
3 of my litter mates have since found their forever homes and it is just Zach and I who are still waiting for the right home to come along.
I would like to stay with my brother Zach if possible as he still needs me.
He is very affectionate and will throw himself on his back for a belly rub, he's great at head butts too but he does get very scared when people pick him up. Me on the other hand, I love my cuddles and like Zach I will throw myself on my back for a good long belly rub also.
Mum has told me a few times that I tend to go a little over board with the affection, I just cant help myself and need to show my people just how much I love them.
I really like to meet new people and I'm usually the 1st one to introduce myself, I can be a bit of a social butterfly.
I really enjoy the company of other cats and love my doggy companions too.
Mum has kept Zach and I indoors in the safety of our foster home but we have had access to an outdoor enclosure, neither of us like to be outside in open spaces, we prefer to be inside where it is safe.
Mum made sure our vetwork was done long ago, Zach and I are both desexed, vaccinated and micro chipped and we have been tested for FeLV and FIV and are both negative.

Adoption details
Our adoption process consists of:
1. Contact us via email or phone for more information on the cat your are interested in.
2. Head to our website www.butterflywingsanimalrescue.org and fill out our adoption application. When submitted it will be sent to us to review.
3. Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you and let you know if you are successful or not. Remember, we may say you are unsuccessful for that particular cat as it may not be suited to your home, in which case we will suggest others that may interest you.
4. If successful, a meet will be organised between you, your family and the cat.
5. If the meet is successful we can go one of two ways:
All remaining vetwork will be done and a time will be organised to bring the cat to you. A holding fee of 50% will be required. Upon drop off a adoption agreement and Change of Ownership will be filled out by yourself and the remaining adoption fee will be collected.
OR
If all vetwork is already completed you can take the cat home at the time of the meet, the adoption agreement will need to be filled out and the entire adoption fee will be collected. We will then organise a time to come out to your house to visit the cat and to finish finalising all paperwork.
There is a 2-4 week trial period with all our adoptions. This is to give the cat time to settle in and show its true personality to its new family. It also gives you a chance to see if the cat is really what you are after. If the trial is unsuccessful, we will pick up the cat and issue a full refund. If the trial is successful we will finalise the adoption according to point 5.
