About Spike
Spike is a happy but shy boy who is very social with other dogs and needs a family committed to working with him. Spike is scared of men with hats and sunglasses and is not fond of children. Out walking he pulls on lead but ignores cars. He can lunge at dogs and bark at other men & women. He loves a jog! He has a scruffy coat and weighs 15.1kg.
Home Based Worker or Doggie Pal: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company or other dog pals.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
Spike comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
