About Panda ~ On Trial 26/4/15
Introducing Panda, a 10 week old, male Staffy x Mastiff puppy. He is a very active, smart, outgoing puppy, who is healthy and socialized with his siblings and a few other larger dogs. He hasn't met a cat yet but is young enough to think of a cat as just another playmate. He enjoys all sorts of toys and exploring the exciting new world around him.
Panda is a stunning black and white boy and we think he'll grow up to be medium size adult dog. He needs 5-6ft high colourbond (or other solid material) fencing with something solid underneath. \ He cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). Gates should have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true).
Panda will be great family dog and is suitable for children over 7 years old (as he is in that jumping stage right now and might accidently scratch a little child).
Panda needs go to a home with another friendly, medium or large dog to be his friend and teacher and ensure that he is raised with good doggy manners. He adores interacting with people so he needs to be allowed inside to be part of the family and to sleep inside in a nice dog bed. We recommend puppy training classes for all puppies.
Ideally, we'd love to see him go to a home where there is someone that doesn't work full time so he doesn't have to spend too much time home alone. \ He is a so sweet and fun and will make some lucky family very happy.
As Panda is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's 4 or 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Panda, please contact their foster mum Robyn on 02 4953 7115 (preferred) or 0407 074 143 and please leave a detailed message if not answered straight away. Panda is located in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie).
Panda has 4 siblings, Apache, Cedar, Walnut and Lola, who are also available for adoption.
Panda's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
