About Kimba
WELCOME TO KIMBA WORLD! POPULATION: 1
Hi, I'm Kimba a 3 year old purebred pixie kelpie and my foster family say I am a little nuts. I didn't have the best start to life and was left in a backyard from 4 weeks old with no mum or litter mates and was left to my own devices so due to this, I have a few..... quirks.
I live on acreage right now with 12 other dogs and 2 horses and some humans and they're really fun but my favourite thing to do is chase myself. I have this quirky habit of chasing shadows and I can do this all day but it doesn't bother me- I find it fun and I think they're my friends.
I've been in foster care for 8 months now and they're all really good but I am looking for a home that really understands me.
I'm only a tiny girl, about 8-10 kilos but wow don't I pack a punch. A lot of the dogs like to chase me around when I'm chasing my own shadows and I also like to chase soccer balls and throw them up in the air and catch them.
I need a home where someone understands me and doesn't try and change my habits. I don't travel too well in the car so I would probably need a truck to get me to my new home. There are just so many things to watch out of the windows that I can get a little wound up. I need someone who will understand that I do chase shadows from dawn to dusk but when it's dark, I sleep all night inside in a nice warm doggie bed.
I don't really need to go out for walks, I exercise myself. I like food as well- but I'm not overly food driven and won't gauge myself on it.
I do love cuddles though, and my little crazy petite body goes back and forth with happiness when someone dances around me for cuddles.
I'm just looking for someone who can make Kimba world have a population of 2; is that you?

Adoption details
Tiki Animal Rescue has a few steps when it comes to finding the right adoptive home for our animals.
An enquiry must be filled out on the animal you're interested in adopting, explaining some basics about you/your life/ your home and what you can offer this particular animal if you were to adopt him/ her.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
Then from there on, it's just all about when the vet work is finished and the dog is able to leave for their new house, a 2 week trial is given for each dog to make sure it's a perfect fit.
Then enjoy the new member of your family.
