About Emmet
Emmet is a super friendly affectionate boy but does not want to be picked up or handled too much until he knows you well. He is social with other dogs and walks well on lead. He has a quiet calm nature and very food motivated -- you might even say he is a bit piggy. He loves carrying soft toys around and enjoys a little ball game but most of all he loves cuddles when he knows you. Emmet gets clipped under sedation. He has a non-shedding coat and weighs 9.8kg.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE
Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky to have had this life.
Unfortunately, there are dogs who have been through a major roller coaster of a life. Some have been physically abused, neglected & traumatised. These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitating traumatised dogs who have an in depth understanding of and experience with, building relationships with dogs like these.
Medical notes
Emmet comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our doggies, is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet .
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
