About Tabitha
Hello, Tabitha here.
At the ripe age of 14, after being a loving companion for many many years to my previous family, I was surrendered to a shelter in Geelong. I waited months on end for someone to adopt me. I watched as younger cats found homes everyday but for some reason I never got a glance. After staff were saddened that I hadn’t had any interest I was sent to Melbourne to try my luck. So far it is business as usual ... I am left watching all the other happy faces as I sit here all alone.
I will admit now that I am not perfect, we all have our faults and I guess mine is age.
I am hoping my perfect human friend is just around the corner waiting to take me home and shower me with love. My ideal home would be in a quiet environment with a relaxed vibe. I am a cat that likes to chill out and am happy to do my own thing, which is great if you have work during the day. I would need to be a strictly indoor lady as my breed is one that a lot people will want to get their hands on and I don’t want to risk being taken away from my new family. I don’t want to come across as too demanding but I also would like a home without young kids and other cats. There’s something about other cats that just rubs me the wrong way. If you come to visit me and I don’t show you a lot of attention then please don’t be put off. I am just so over being stuck in a cage and am just at my wits end.
All senior cats (seven years and over), including Tabitha, are available for adoption for a voluntary contribution. This means people choose how much they offer Lort Smith when adopting these animals. We want to make sure these older animals get re-homed and back to a peaceful routine as soon as possible.
