About Lumi
WE LOVE LUMI!
And we know you will too. Lumi is an extremely handsome dog who bonds closely with his people and will be your most loyal friend for life.
Lumi is a sweet young boy who gets along well with others, including children, cats and other dogs. He is crate-trained and loves to sleep in his crate; he has great basic obedience and really good recall.
Lumi has won the hearts of everyone he has met... will he win yours?
MY IDEAL HOME:
I am friendly dog who loves people. I adore being around you and don’t really like being on my own for long periods of time because I will miss you too much. I love my food, and I love my walks at Sydney Park where I am a great dog off leash. I am exceptionally good at my recall, but I will take a while to get used to a new home. So a patient, understanding, dog savvy owner is who I am looking for, I’ll be your best mate once I get to know you. I will reward your effort with my sunny smile and utter devotion.
MY ENERGY LEVEL:
I have a medium energy level and enjoy daily walks, the occasional run at the park and I just love to be near you regardless of what you are up to.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN:
I am good with children but prefer them to be a little older, around 6 years and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS:
My foster mum says that while I am good around other dogs, I prefer a calm environment - full-on play and boisterous playmates make me nervous. I am fantastic with cats! I live with four of them and never chase them. I live with a little dog as well and I think he is great.
A BIT MORE ABOUT LUMI FROM HIS CARER
Lumi is in the Inner West, we hope to do a staged transition for him and allow him time to settle in with his new family. We will provide you with full support and a transition plan to help him settle in quickly.
We currently have Lumi on a low dose of Lovan to deal with his separation anxiety, but we do not expect this to be a long term treatment. He does get worried in Thunder Storms and he does not like sudden surprises.
He is crate trained, is exceptional on the leash and he is very respectful of other animals.
We anticipate Lumi's move to a new home will be challenging the first few days, however once he has had the opportunity to trust and bond with you, he is just the most amazing dog. We can guarantee you will be glad you gave him the chance.
Medical notes
Lumi has been given a C7 vaccination and Heartworm prevention, he is up to date with Flea and Worm Treatments and is on Lovan 20mg per day.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
