About Sadie
Ok as I have been in foster care now for a couple of months and have had a couple of enquiries but none of them were suitable I have decided to write my own description and see if my new family is out there and is impressed by me taking control of my own destiny, here we go….
I am a silkie mix “scallywag” (according to my foster mum) around 12 months old, I spent a couple of weeks in the Wagga Pound with my mum who found her forever home ages ago, but I am still waiting.
When I came into foster care I started to get a bit sick so my foster mum took me to the dog doctor and I had to spend many days with this thing stuck in my leg and that’s all the food I had for 6 days I heard my foster mum and vet saying that I had this deadly disease called “parvo” and I only got it because my first family did not get me vaccinated, which just proved to me that they didn’t care about me or my mum.
I got better and am now going leaps and bounds “literally” as I have become this very active scallywag who just loves other dogs and people, I am tiny but not fragile so can take anything that comes my way.
Now to the serious stuff, I need a new home as my foster mum keeps saying “it is time Sadie for you to find your forever home” she does love me but I am really active and she never knows what I am going to do next I just want to live life to the fullest.
I need another dog around the same size and age as me one with plenty of energy and is up for anything, one that can roll around the ground and we can chase each other around the yard and under the bushes, a couple of older kids would be good too as they can teach me tricks so my mind is stimulated and I don’t think of naughty things to get into.
I need to live inside at night, if I can’t then I will scream the neighbour down just because you left me out side, I can use a dog door so being able to get inside during the day would be great as I love to curl up on the lounge and have a nap.
Ok I think that might do for now, if this doesn’t get me a new home I don’t know what will, but to my new owners, apart from what I have written if you adopt me you will get this sweet girl who will love you as long as I live, I will give the family many years of fun, laughs, cuddles and my loyalty and will do as I am told……
Please email my foster mum and tell her all about yourself and your family and if you meet all of the criteria for me and she will call you and have a chat, oops meant to say somewhere that I love to climb so mesh fencing is not the go, it’s not that I want to leave but it just gives me something else to do……
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please either phone or email the foster carer (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer will ask about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
