About Arli
Other dogs
Social in the park. Arli will show dominance but this is usually only displayed occasionally at home if there is another dog or cat and there is something to be jealous over. E.g. how gets the most cuddles.
Cats
Currently living with a cat and they are good pals and are seen lying together in the sun. However, there has been a recent issue about who gets closer to the heater so we rec-ommend, no other animals

Size
14 kgs
Exercise requirements
Moderate.

No
Tolerance to being alone
Preference to someone home more often then not however, as long as you give her plenty of attention when home, full time workers will also be considered.
Toilet trained
Yes
Likes
Swimming (only up to her chest), running at the park toys but most of all, her special hu-man friends.
Dislikes
Loud noises. Footballs. The hose. Being ignored.
Ideal home
Arli is a companion dog and needs plenty of love and attention. She will need a firm but kind owner who is prepared to make sure she understands the rules – like most dogs of this breed. She loves being part of a family and is currently living with a little boy. They are great pals.
She would be best suited in a home where there are no other dogs or cats – because she can display some dominance around the home. She is fine in a social situation e.g. at the park.
Generally
Arli is extremely affectionate, loyal and dependable. However, she can display dominance when playing with other dogs and this combined with her enthusiasm can sometimes lead to tension. She had been to puppy school and is well behave and obedient.
Where did she come from
Originally from a breeder in SA. Currently in foster care south of the river. Her original mum’s son became ill and hence, Arli could no longer get the attention she deserves.

Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
