About Sandy
Sandy is a sweet and gentle girl, a quiet little dog with deep soulful eyes and when she loves you, she is loyal with all her heart.
Sandy loves to be part of the family, so we are looking for a family who will include her in activities, but also laze around on rainy days having cuddles.
Sandy has proven to be great with kids and is good with other animals but doesn't like dogs who are overly boisterous (due to her ears). She is quiet and sweet and we cant wait to find her family who will love her forever.
Sandy is house-trained, likes walks around the neighbourhood and really just enjoys being wherever her special people are!
Sandy is ok in the car, but gets a little stressed- especially if going to the vet!!
Sandy's hair is that perfect terrier type hair that doesn't moult too much and is easy to maintain with a simple brush once or twice a week.
Medical notes
Sandy had a lot of benign tumors in her ear canals, both ear's had to be re-sected (which means a new ear canal had to be made), so Sandy will need daily- every 2nd daily cleaning of her ears for the rest of her life as well as regular vet visits to make sure her tumors in her ears don't return. She may need ear drops at different intervals. Sandy is much better about having her ears cleaned, but can still be a bit of a wiggle worm at times.
In regards to these tumors, I can give no guarantee they will not recur, so we really need a diligent mum or dad to adopt her and love her and understand her genetic disposition. Sandy is nearly 8 years old, desexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and up to date on flea, heart worm and intestinal worming. We offer a lifetime of support and love for Sandy and are more than happy to guide her new family with her health.
