On Hold
About Narla (on hold pending determination)
Narla is a 2 year old Italian Jack Russell x Pug. Narla is very intelligent, and has a classic Italian Greyhound personality. It is likely that before Narla came into care she had little training and although she is learning very quickly she still is not completely house trained. Narla is extremely agile, and active, but also loves cuddles and is extremely loving. She is a confident dog, and gets on well with other dogs of all sizes and shapes. She likes to chase things, but is not vicious. For her it is just a game. So although she could go to a family with cats and other animals she would need to be supervised around them.
Narla would get lonely being left by her self all day, so she would be best in a home with other dogs or where her people would be often at home. She is active and would need a good enclosed yard to play, but likes to curl up inside at night and cuddle. She definitely needs to have access to a nice warm bed at night, preferably near her person as that makes her feel very safe. Narla would make a great child’s dog. She would get on with children of any age, but because she is quite jubilant and playful she might frighten some pre school age and younger children. Narla would also make an ideal companion to an active older person, who likes to go for walks and enjoys outside activities, such as gardening. Narla is not a classic lap dog though, and would be bored being inside all the time.
Narla shows great skills at opening unlatched doors and gates, and she is an excellent jumper, so it would be important to have a very secure yard with excellent dog proof fencing. It is not that she seems interested in escaping, but for Narla the world is so exciting, she would just see at as a chance to explore.
For more information or to meet Narla please phone Caroline on 02 4983 1748 or email moorefieldsfarm@bigpond.com. Narla is in foster care near Raymond Terrace, NSW (30 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
