When baby brutus came into care he was very sick and we didn't think he was going to make it. But he did and he is a healthy & happy bouncing boy now. Baby brutus used to be head shy but now he will rub his head up against you waiting for kisses on the top of his velvety head. We are still very gentle when touching him as sudden movements can scare him. This boy has come such a long way in such a short period of time and he is only going to get better. He's like a good drop of red wine. Baby brutus loves his walks. He loves to follow you in the park and he loves to run towards you with happiness. He is at his most happiest when by your side. He is a dream to walk on leash on the road and we have taken him camping a few times and he adores the outdoors. Baby brutus is extremely affectionate and loves human company. He will follow you around all day, or he will potter in the garden or he will sunbake on his trampoline bed. He really is no trouble. He has never barked once and is a quiet little soul. Baby brutus is a tad deaf although he can hear when you clap. This disability has not caused any issues & he lives in our home like any other dog in care. Baby brutus was head shy when coming into care. We feel that he has had little human contact for many years. We also believe he has been an outdoor dog all his life and lived on concrete as he adores his outside kennel and is happy to sleep there at night time. His life has changed with us somewhat - we let him live with us indoors and he loves cuddle time in the evening when we watch tv. Brutus is finally part of a family. Because we think he has had little human interaction in the past he is not comfortable with being picked up and may react. At first we were concerned by this but now we have just learnt to adjust to his quirks and refrain from picking him up. We are looking for a dog-savvy home. A home where brutus can be himself, where he will be loved and treated as part of the family but in a home that will respect his needs. We would not recommend a home with children as they might scare him & try to pick him up. Baby brutus is a funny guy - there is a constant smile on his face and he jumps off steps because he thinks he is superman. He is happy with where life is now taking him. He is so deserving of that second chance in life. When he was abandoned at the pound you could tell he was very sad and depressed. We have watched happiness come into his life and he knows he is now loved & wanted & there is an unlimited supply of cuddles and hugs. Baby brutus comes desexed, c5 vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, flea and wormed. He is residing in the ryde, sydney area and is not suitable for interstate adoption. There is a trial period for his adoption but we ask that you give him a couple of months to settle in so you can see the beautiful boy that we have fallen in love with.
