meet our catwalk model pollyanna. This stunning, tall two and half year old girl is utterly drop-dead gorgeous in looks and personality. Miss polly has found herself in search of a new family as her previous owners were no longer able to keep her. Whilst not the most confident girl in the world when she first arrived at gara, polly’s carer now tells us that she is blossoming each day. She can be a sweet kind of shy when she first meets people but in true goldie style soon smothers you with her affectionate hugs and sloppy kisses. Her carer describes polly as having a beautiful nature, constantly smiling and forever wagging her happy tail. There is never a dull moment in polly’s mind either when there are soft toys that are in need of nurturing (or squirreling away in her bed) and bouncy balls in need of chasing. Polly was an outside girl but has taken to indoor living like a duck to water and she is really looking forward to sharing special moments indoors with her new family. This gentle soul enjoys the company of other dogs though she is still learning the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of play ie sometimes she looks a little perplexed when the other dogs are tearing around the backyard and bouncing off each other like beach balls. Polly has a curious nature, and the carers resident cat regularly cops the brunt of this curiosity, so initial supervised meetings with family felines would be recommended. We are to date uncertain of polly’s response to storms so just as soon as a storm brews we will update this space with her reactions. We are also not sure if she was raised with young children but she certainly loves those she meets out on her walk. She travels well in the car and pulls a bit on lead at the start of a walk but with ongoing training and socialization she will perfect it with class and style, as she has done with everything else that life throws her way. Polly’s ideal family will be one who is willing to embrace this precious girl and provide her with the time, commitment and enduring love and respect that she deserves.
