Glamour couple Jessica Bratich and Mitchell Johnson are a Pawfect Match

Whether you're after a Lady or a Tramp, you can find a soul mate this Valentine's Day who won't let you down.

The RSPCA's Pawfect Match adopt-a-pet initiative will be launched on the Valentine's Day weekend to help people find a four-legged companion.

RSPCA ambassador Jessica Bratich said the Malaga shelter, where the adopt-a-thon starts on Saturday February 13, was a great place to find a pet.

"There are so many beautiful animals here," Bratich said, "You get all the background of the animals and can make an informed decision, so it's easy to find your Pawfect Match."

The 28-year-old karate champion surprised Australian cricketer fiance Mitchell Johnson with two new kittens, Dash and Purr, from the RSPCA last year.

The ‘Pawfect Match’ campaign, which aims to find loving homes for 50,000 animals around Australia in 2010, will encourage long-term pet adoption and offer animals a second chance for love.

RSPCA spokesman Richard Barry encouraged people to visit the shelter to meet more than 40 dogs and 60 cats and kittens looking for love.

“It’s about the love between you and a cat or dog as your best mate,” Mr Barry said.

“It’s all a bit of fun to encourage people to come up  here and look at the animals here and find a few of them a new home.

“From our experience, owners and pets tend to choose each other, so for many it could be a case of love at first sight.”
