Aussie bloke looking for perfect BBQ this Australia Day!

Meet Tom, your stereotypical Aussie bloke – he’s a bit of a party animal, has a gruff, rough-and-tumble exterior, but inside lies a heart of gold. He’s looking for the perfect backyard to enjoy Australia Day in, complete with BBQ, friends, and a cold can of Whiskas.

Tom is currently staying with his human mate and foster carer, Scott, who says this burly boy may come across as a bit of a bruiser, but actually really loves to cuddle. Tom needs a home – and fast – as the AWL Qld shelter is too full for him to come back once he’s recovered – he’s feeling a bit crook at the moment but is recovering well.

You can adopt Tom for just $70 and, like all AWL animals, he is already vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, wormed and flea-treated. For a limited time, all adult cats can be adopted for $80, or you can adopt two kittens for $200 (or $150 each).

Both AWL Rehoming Centres are open on Australia Day, so why not bring the family along and save a life?
