It's Raining Dogs at the Animal Welfare League Qld
Winter is usually a slower time for rescue, but at the Animal Welfare League Qld it's raining dogs. With over 80 dogs waiting for new homes, if you are thinking about adopting now is the time!
Last week it was a crisis of kittens, but this week the tables have turned and the shelter is quickly running out of space for puppies and dogs.
As well as taking in stray or unwanted pets, the AWL collects dogs from local pounds to give them a second chance at life, but with a flood of canine companions suddenly becoming available the organisation is struggling to find space.
Although this situation is very concerning for the shelter, for adopters there is a bright side. With puppies, pure breeds and even a 15 yr old toy poodle called Sebastian there is bound to be a dog to suit every lifestyle.
